It has been reported that the lineage-specific deletion of Mettl3 in Treg cells leads to the loss of Foxp3-dependent transcriptional activation and gene expression which contributes to the development of autoimmunity disease and subsequent death in the Foxp3-Mettl3f/f cKO mice (11, 40), similar to what was observed in the Mettl14f/f cKO mice.
