Von Willebrand factor (von Willebrand factor, vWF) is a multi-domain synthesized by vascular endothelial cells and bone marrow megakaryocytes, which can be used as an important indicator of endothelial cell activation and endothelial dysfunction, and participate in the process of body inflammation, tissue injury and repair, and immune regulation (45). Here, VWF is linked to endothelial dysfunction.
