In a Turkish population hospitalized for COVID-19, it was observed that elevated levels of D-dimer, CRP, and NLR are predictors of severity (37); in UK patients infected with SARS-CoV-2, it has been observed that markers of inflammation such as lymphocytes < 1.5 109/L, NLR, and hematocrit (<0.40 L/L men, < 0.37 L/L women) were associated with mortality within 30 days of hospitalization (38). Here, CRP is linked to COVID-19.
