Relevant studies (Berretta et al., 2019; Liu et al., 2022) have found that basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) are body-specific angiogenic factors that can create favorable conditions for the invasion and metastasis of cancer cells, and both bFGF and VEGF are involved in the progression of HCC.
