T1DM patients had significantly lower levels of albumin (3.5 ± 0.5 vs. 4.5 ± 0.4 g/dL, P< 0.001) and eGFR (82.9 ± 20.9 vs. 99.5 ± 15.0 mL/min/1.73 m2, P< 0.001) than controls. Here, ALB is linked to type 1 diabetes mellitus.
