miR222-3p is highly expressed in BMSC-derived exosomes (Furuta et al., 2016), which is delivered to negatively regulate the IRF2/INPP4B signaling pathway, thus, inhibiting proliferation and promoting apoptosis in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cells by targeting IRF2 (Zhang et al., 2020). This evidence concerns the gene IRF2 and acute myeloid leukemia.
