TNF and cytomegalovirus infection: The long-term presence of UC disease, steroid, azathioprine (AZA), and anti-tumor necrosis factor-alpha (anti-TNF-alpha) usage increased the risk of CMV infection (p=0.001 and odds ratio=1.168; p=0.001 and odds ratio=2.967; p=0.004 and odds ratio=2.953; p=0.003 and odds ratio=3.861, respectively).
