The four missense variants (p.N370S, p.E326K, p.T369M, and p. L444P) account for more than 80% of GBA mutations associated with PD (Jesús et al., 2016; Lythe et al., 2017; Iwaki et al., 2019b; Mangone et al., 2020; Petrucci et al., 2020; Straniero et al., 2020; Menozzi and Schapira, 2021; Pal et al., 2022; Dulski et al., forthcoming). Here, GBA1 is linked to Parkinson disease.
