It has been reported that interferon can significantly trigger the production of many interferon-induced genes (IFIT1, IFITM3, MX-1, OASL, ISG15, PKR, GBP1, Viperin, BST2, IRF-1, and CXCL10), which play key roles in the resistance to viral infection (52). Here, CXCL10 is linked to viral infectious disease.
