To determine whether SARS-CoV-2 infection induces HLA-G expression, lung tissues from SARS-CoV-2- (n = 65) or influenza- (n = 10) infected patients as well as from respective controls (n = 12) were stained by IHC with the HLA-G-specific mAb 4H83 detecting all major HLA-G isoforms.
