The proportion of SPP1+C1QC-/SPP1+C1QC+ TAMs but not SPP1-C1QC+/SPP1-C1QC- TAMs significantly increased from normal to adjacent/tumor samples among different cancer types (Fig. 1i), suggesting the potential role of SPP1+ TAMs in tumorigenesis and tumor metabolism.
