Analogous to their Th2 counterparts, ILC2s play a key role in controlling helminth infection [26, 28, 29], while perpetuating allergen‐induced allergic inflammation [30, 31, 32, 33] via the production of IL‐5 and IL‐13 in response to alarmins IL‐33, IL‐25, and thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP).
