Post hoc correlates analysis found a lower risk of HIV-1 infection in vaccine recipients whose plasma IgG bound an antigen comprising the gp120 variable regions 1 and 2 (V1V2) of Env attached to the C terminus of a murine leukaemia virus (MLV) gp70 scaffold (gp70-V1V2) [8], [9].
