Acute kidney injury will be defined based on KDIGO guidelines for AKI definition, as a ≥50% SCr rise throughout cancer therapy, from baseline, as previously described.19,51,52 Cardiometabolic risk factors will be ascertained at the study visits and will include glucose, body mass index (BMI) z-score (with secondary analyses using overweight/obesity classifications), non-fasting lipid profile (triglycerides, high- and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol), and C-reactive protein. Here, CRP is linked to acute kidney injury.
