Our results identified 183 quercetin target genes and 384 genes associated with essential hypertension (EH), and 54 common genes of quercetin-EH, which was significantly enriched into several GO processes, i.e., muscle cell proliferation, vascular contraction, regulation of endothelial and epithelial cell proliferation, blood vessel development etc. Furthermore, analysis of the topological variables of the network revealed that genes from the STAT family (STAT1, STAT3), JAK2, and cytokine-related genes were highly ranked throughout the network. This evidence concerns the gene STAT1 and hypertensive disorder.
