TP53 and cancer: Some genes such as KRAS, HRAS display a high correlation between disparate tissues, indicating a conserved set of metabolic alterations despite the different contexts; one the other hand, mutations to TP53 (Appendix Fig S12), CCNE1 and other common cancer drivers appear to have almost no correlation across tissues, and so likely alter metabolism in a distinct way, possibly more associated with mutation type than tissue context.
