Next, plasma cfRNA samples from melanoma patients (N = 18) versus control plasma of healthy donors (N = 18) were used to determine gene expression levels of six gene candidates (KPNA2, DTL, BACE2, DTYMK, E2F3 and SLC25A13) that showed excellent diagnostic accuracy (AUC >90.0%) in tissue (Figure 2A–F). The gene discussed is KPNA2; the disease is melanoma.
