Here, we reported that TXNRD1 increased the cell proliferation, migration and invasion abilities and induced activation of Akt/mTOR signaling, which could be abolished by the AKT inhibitor MK2206 treatment, implying that Akt/mTOR signaling was at least partially involved in TXNRD1 induced HCC progression. Here, AKT1 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
