Most importantly, the key immune parameters–spleen and S-LN weights, splenic NK cell activities, and the T cell subsets (CD3, CD4, CD8, and Foxp3), general and hematopoietic stem cells (CD34 and CD45), and major immune-related cytokines (iNOS, TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-12A, and IFN-γ) immunopositive cells showed immunosuppress signs by morphine, however, these morphine-inducedimmunosuppress-related signs were normalized by acupunctures, suggesting that acupuncture can be a new potent alternative immunomodulatory remedy for immune disorders by morphine. The gene discussed is CD8A; the disease is immune system disorder.
