The patient was then managed with colloid solution (hydroxyethyl starch 6%) at 10 mL/kg/h for 2 hours, then sustained at 0.5 mL/kg/h and noradrenalin (0.1 μg/kg per minute), red blood cells, fresh frozen plasma and albumin transfusions, and infusion of saline solution (3%) for treating cerebral edema.
