No significant differences were found between the two groups regarding lymphocyte count, platelet count, D-dimer, aspartate aminotransaminase, alanine aminotransferase, serum creatinine, and lactate dehydrogenase; however, C-reactive protein (CRP) was significantly higher in the respiratory failure group (p = 0.017) (Table 1).
