Indeed several lines of studies have found that TP53 deficiency protects hematopoietic system after radiation exposure, and ameliorates radiation induced bone marrow (BM) injury, although constitutive inhibition of TP53 in HSCs causes premature exhaustion of HSCs and increases the incidences of hematologic malignancies [32, 33, 36]. Here, TP53 is linked to hematologic disorder.
