TGM2 and cranioectodermal dysplasia: Anti-TtG levels are increased in CeD, but also other inflammatory conditions such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, primary biliary cirrhosis26, rheumatoid arthritis27, and chronic liver disease28 which has been attributed to an overexpression of TtG, and its involvement in apoptosis, tissue repair, and fibrosis29.
