After adjustments, insulin resistance was reduced in participants who were most active in the afternoon (−18% [95% CI −33%, −2%]) or evening (−25% [95% CI −49%, −4%]), whereas insulin resistance was unaffected in those most active in the morning (−3% [95% CI −25%, 16%]) compared with participants with an even distribution of MVPA (Fig. 2).
