The amount of total aSyn was lower in STING ki mice in both brain regions (Figure 3—figure supplement 1) and the ratio of paSyn to total aSyn increased in STING ki mice (Figure 3B) – as commonly observed in synucleinopathy models and PD patients (Anderson et al., 2006; Chatterjee et al., 2020; Fujiwara et al., 2002; Szegö et al., 2022). This evidence concerns the gene STING1 and synucleinopathy.
