Molecularly targeted therapies including Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) targeted tyrosine-kinase inhibitors such as bevacizumab, sunitinib, and pazopanib have been used with great success in patients with metastatic ccRCC, which is currently the recommended first-line standard-of-care treatment according to the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) in patients with good risk (2).
