Following cisplatin treatment of lung cancer cells, the C-X-C motif chemokine ligands/CXC chemokine receptor (CXCLs/CXCR2) signaling pathway was altered in resistant cells, resulting in increased expression of CXCR2-associated chemokines (CXCL1, CXCL2, and CXCL5), increased neutrophil infiltration and concomitant upregulation of the immunosuppressive factors, TGF-β and arginase (Arg-1). This evidence concerns the gene CXCR2 and lung carcinoma.
