In conclusion, our study shows that bergenin regulates the NF-κB pathway and blocks p65 translocation into the nucleus by activating SIRT1, thereby reducing the release of proinflammatory factors (such as IL-1β, IL-5, IL-6, and MMP-9 by macrophages) to play a role in asthma treatment (Figure 7).
