Increased BCL-6 on the miR-142 promoter up-regulates H3K27me3 (repressive mark) and down-regulates H3K9/14ac (activating mark), resulting in a decrease in miR-142-3p/5p expression, which leads to CD4+T cell over-activity in SLE (Ding et al., 2012; Ding et al., 2019).
