VCAM1 and atherosclerosis: Specifically, this multiparametric imaging approach was executed as follows: first, 64Cu-VCAM-1, 64Cu-LOX-1, and 64Cu-MMR were used to characterize the endothelial dysfunction and macrophage burden of plaque and inflammatory activity; then 68Ga-MMR was integrated with T2-weighted-MRI and DCE-MRI on a clinical PET/MRI system to simultaneously investigate vessel wall morphology and atherosclerotic plaque activity; meanwhile, 18F-FDG-PET and 18F-NaF-PET were carried out to study atherosclerosis progression.
