Inspired by the fact that TRPV2 and TRPV4 have very similar gene sequences, Huang et al. found that CBD interacts with residues on the S6 helix of TRPV4, thus suggesting that TRPV4 plays an important role in CBD inhibition of glioma (Huang et al., 2021). The gene discussed is TRPV4; the disease is central nervous system cancer.
