Zhou et al. (Zhou et al., 2020) found that knockout of the F-box protein S-phase kinase-associated protein 2 (Skp2) by CRISPR/Cas9 technology could inhibit Hexokinase 2 (HK2) and glycolysis, and affected colorectal cancer cell growth rate in vitro and in vivo. This evidence concerns the gene HK2 and colorectal cancer.
