Genetic predisposition to NAFLD and fibrosing fatty liver (polygenic risk score - hepatic fat content [PRS-HFC]/ polygenic risk score-5 [PRS-5]) did not affect the coagulation balance, but the PNPLA3 p.I148M variant tended to be associated with higher F8 levels and was independently associated with higher F8/PC ratio independently of liver damage and of all the other covariates (p = 0.0438; p >0.087 after correction for multiplicity). Here, PNPLA3 is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
