In a study aimed at identification of key genes affecting the risk of anthracycline-related congestive heart failure (CHF) in long-term survivors after haematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT), Armenia et al. observed that the odds of developing CHF after HCT was increased nearly 3 times in patients with the RAC2 rs13058338 (7508 T>A) variants (4). Here, RAC2 is linked to congestive heart failure.
