We observed that both, SYK and IRAK inhibition resulted in a significant reduction of IL-6 and TNF-α release during infection in response to the mucoralean species (Figures 4A, B), which is in agreement with previous studies that reported cooperation between CTLs and TLRs to amplify the inflammatory immune response (28, 45, 76). The gene discussed is IRAK1; the disease is infection.
