Five days after the initiation of reactivation of the infection, the reactivation index (the ratio of SAG1 mRNA levels versus BAG1 mRNA levels) in the brains of the recipients of CD8+ immune T cells from the HLA-A2.1-transgenic mice were more than three times lower than those of the two control groups with a transfer of no T cells or WT CD8+ T cells (P<0.05 to the two control groups combined) (Figure 6A).
