We also evaluated gene expression between the two groups, and it showed that patients in the high IRScore group displayed significantly higher expression of immune checkpoint genes CTLA4, HAVCR2, ICOS, LAG3, PDCD1 and TIGIT. Besides, expression of T cell development-associated genes TBX21 and EOMES, tumor reactivity-associated genes ITGAE and ENTPD1, and cytotoxic gene GZMB were also significantly higher in patients with high IRScore (Figure 3E). This evidence concerns the gene CTLA4 and neoplasm.
