Carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125), carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), alpha fetoprotein (AFP), and human epididymis protein 4 (HE4) were all within normal range, but carbohydrate antigen-19-9 (CA19-9) and the antigen of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) rose; the corresponding results were 1,303.61 U/ml and 2.89 ng/ml, especially CA19-9 increased significantly. This evidence concerns the gene CEACAM5 and squamous cell carcinoma.
