CD34 and epilepsy: As a molecular marker of progenitor cells, CD34 often expresses in low-grade or developmental brain tumors, which are usually accompanied by chronic epilepsy, such as the so-called “low-grade epilepsy-associated neuroepithelial tumors (LEAT)”, but none of normal adult or developing human brain and tumors without epilepsy are CD34 positive3–5,8,18.
