Unlike other oncogenic addicted tumors, namely EGFR driven lung cancer (NSCLC), where the appearance of secondary mutation in the target gene (EGFR) is a common mechanism of resistance to EGFR inhibitors (Kobayashi et al, 2005), no BRAF secondary mutation has been so far reported in BRAFi‐resistant melanomas. Here, EGFR is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
