CDKN2A and cancer: For this reason, we focused on four MYC-interacting proteins, i.e., Promyelocytic leukemia protein (PML), Glycogen synthase kinase-3 beta (GSK3B), Cyclin-Dependent Kinase Inhibitor 2A (CDKN2A), and Histone deacetylase 2 (HDAC2), which were reported to be mis-regulated in cancer in previous studies (Guan and Kao, 2015; Domoto et al., 2016; Zhao et al., 2016; Shan et al., 2017).
