Compared with the Healthy group, PCOS patients displayed significantly higher luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), estrogen (E2), androstenedione (AD), total testosterone (TT), free androgen index (FAI), glucose level at fasting status (G0), insulin level at 120 min after glucose load (I120), and glucose level at 120 min after glucose load (G120) while lower progesterone (PROG) and sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) (FDR adjusted p < 0.05) (Table S1). This evidence concerns the gene PLOD1 and polycystic ovary syndrome.
