It turned out that PRR34-AS1 absence caused an upregulation in the level of epithelium marker (E-cadherin) whereas diminished the levels of mesenchymal markers (N-cadherin and Vimentin) and EMT transcription factors (Slug and Twist), implying that PRR34-AS1 silencing suppressed the EMT process in HCC cells (Additional file 1: Fig. S1G). Here, PRR34 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
