Interestingly, the inhibition of NF-κB activity did not alter the apoptotic resistance of UT-7/mpl cells and CD34 + megakaryocytes derived from idiopathic myelofibrosis patients, but, inhibited TGF-β1 secretion, highlighting the importance of NF-κB activation in the development of fibrosis in this disease. Here, NFKB1 is linked to primary myelofibrosis.
