Those predictors included male sex, DAA treatment duration < 8 weeks, treatment discontinuation due to adverse events, advanced liver disease (i.e. cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma), albumin level < 3.5 g/dL, total bilirubin level > 1.2 g/dL, alcohol or tobacco use, pain, hyperlipidemia, and use of immunosuppressants, PPI, or vitamins.
