According to studies on the pathogenesis of w-AIHA, autoantibodies, the complement system, phagocytes, cytotoxic CD8+ T cells and NK cells performing ADCC, B and T lymphocytes (including CD4+ T regulatory (Treg) cells), and cytokines play important roles in the pathogenesis of w-AIHA (1). This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and autoimmune hemolytic anemia.
