Furthermore, we found robust increases of c-Fos expression in the septum following all depression-related behavioral tests relative to control mice (FST, 2162 ± 358% of control; TST, 2713 ± 175%; SPT, 1337 ± 268%; Figure 1C,D), confirming that the septum responds to depression-related behavioral tests.
