In a study in Turkey, patients with stable angina with aspirin resistance had significantly higher WBC count, neutrophil counts, neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratios, serum uric acid (SUA) levels, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein levels, and fasting blood glucose levels and high SUA levels were an independent predictor of aspirin resistance after multivariate analysis, with a cut-off value of 6.45 mg/dl for SUA to predict aspirin resistance with 79% sensitivity and 65% specificity on ROC analysis [33].
