In the case of certain bioactive components from S. libanotica EO, Itani et al. [85] observed that three of them (linalyl acetate, terpeniol and camphor) caused synergistic inhibition of the growth of two isogenic HCT-116 lines (human colon cancer cell lines; p53+/+ and p53−/−) but did not have any effect on growth of FHs74Int (normal human intestinal cell line). Here, TP53 is linked to colonic neoplasm.
