TIMP-1 forms a complex with CD63 and integrin β1 on collagen, and then activates Src and RhoA, resulting in F-actin assembly that inactivates LATS1/2 and activates YAP/TAZ in many types of cancer cell lines, including HNSCC [95,96]. The gene discussed is YAP1; the disease is head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
